Zenithink ZT-180 ePad official Android 2.2 Firmware upgrade ROM download

Thanks for sharing the information. I have been regularly upgrading the ZT-180 as each release came out. For the most part, the OS improves with each release (2.2 beta excluded). This new 2.2 release works great!! The only things not working for me are Skype, Angry Birds, and root explorer.

The overall look and feel is much nicer than previous versions. There are a couple of places slightly slower than 2.1 but hardly noticable.

I would recommend upgrading to V2.2 if you are still at 2.1. This upgrade makes this tablet a pleasure to use. I imagine the 512 version would be even better!

Upgraded from 2.1 to 2.2 using this posting. Device name is wrong, Market and AppBrain are having a fit trying to figure out what my device is; when trying to reinstall a number of apps, constantly get error message regarding item not found which suggests a SD card mounting issue (two different LUN’s in the op system for same card). You aren’t kidding when you say this is Beta! By the way, what happened to Zenithink.US (MIA)?

hi, just browsing the web and came across your posting. I am currently trying to work out how to update my daughters zenithink zt-180 10″ epad from 2.1 to 2.2 but the whole thing is confusing me! I click on the links and chinese isn’t my strong point so immediately lost and don’t know what buttons to press! My daughter is after have bbc iplayer on her epad and i understand this can only be viewed if she has flashplayer installed which requires a 2.2 upgrade. Please could you help. Many thanks

Updating youre zenithink is realy easy
You need a windows pc 32 bit this software http://www.ps22geert.be/zt-update.rar
You need to install youre device with the drivers in the rar file

Wow, I did not have trouble at all. Chinese is easy, use Google Chrome and it translates for you. I did not put the data part of the upgrade on, because I have my own apps. Follow the instructions to upgrade. You may have to use WinXP (did not work for me with Win7 64). Sp2 works, but not sp3. It makes the ePad very user friendly and almost everything works!

Hi, can any one tell me why adobe flash player does not work on this zt-180 tablet.

Did you every figure this out? I cant work it out and can’t find any way to fix it!

Does anyone have a link to a update file that doesn’t time out? I can get about 2 meg or so of this one and the download stops. Bittorrent file would be great too. Thanks.

The sim card slot is one of thse mini sims that you put ito a normal one when you have got what you want

Thank-you so much.  Your suggested download site worked like a charm.  I was easily able to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.  Now I off to installed Flash Player.  The password for the burn tool is “zenithink”.  Regards MJS

this is cheap and with gr8 features. the only drawback is that they have bad battery life..

There is no SIM slot on the ZT180.  There is a TF solt for Micro SD memory card.  It uses WCDMA so you will have to use the EMI number to connect to a carrier.

How do you ommit the DATA part of the upgrade?  I too have many apps installed which I do not want to have to redo.

Trying to upgrade using USB, but I can’t seem to uncompress the “.bz” files.  I tried the WinZip and Stuffit Expander free versions.  Any suggestions?
