Mediatek (MTK), cooperated with Ragentek—a new phone designer company, has developed Quad SIM Quad Standby Cell Phone Platform that based on MT6253 platform and the latest MTK software 1103. After a series of tests around the world, this platform has got the MTK’s prove and now a cell phone has been produced running on this platform. This cell phone is called PCBA, as shown below, all the 4 SIM cards are arranged at one side of the motherboard by which it could keep the cell phone being slim.
When the news that MTK has developed the Quad SIM Quad Standby Cell Phone Platform was shown on the micro-blog, it was paid great attention by a lot of people who reprinted it to their micro blogs and it got more than 600 comments in a short period of time.
The CTO said that the MTK Quad SIM Quad Standby could be accomplished on MT6253, MT6235, MT6236 and the later new platform MT6252.
